In my opinion, mundane refers to the same old repetitive daily chores coming back in circles. When I researched repetition in nature, I found that even though there was repetition everywhere, every repetition had its own individual characteristic, as if it were telling a story. This was my starting point. I draped strips of paper with different widths to create innovative avant-garde silhouette ideas. The collection is Spring/Summer designed for a young designer's market. The customer could be someone who is a fashion innovator, trendsetter, with a fan following, at the top of the fashion cycle. The color story is derived from the wooden barks and natural textures to present a refreshing direction to the mundane brown.
